Valhalla Cellars was started in 2001 by Todd Martin and Madeleine Beeler Warner. Since we are both of Scandinavian decent we decided to use Valhalla Cellars as our label. The goal was to make small handcrafted custom crush lots of high quality wines for the enjoyment of family, friends and clients. Our production has increased each year as we have moved into the commercial sales area. Our intent is to buy grapes from top vineyards in areas that produce the best quality grapes for the variety we intended to produce. In 2001 we produced 75 cases of Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. In 2002 we first crushed Lodi Zinfandel along with Napa Cabernet Sauvignon and produced about 125 cases combined. In 2003 we produced a Viognier for the first time and for 2005 we produced a Petite Sirah for the first time. We entend to keep production small with about 500 cases produced annually.
